Privatizing Your YouTube Channel
Youtube is a popular online video sharing website. To begin, you must have a Google Gmail email account or a Youtube account. Go to Youtube. You will be instructed to create an account online. Once you are logged into Youtube, you will be able to upload a video. Upload videos to YouTube from your computer web browser. Sign into your YouTube account. Click on Upload at the top of the page. Before you start uploading the video you can chose the video privacy settings. Select the video you'd like to upload from your computer.
When you create a new YouTube channel, it's public by default, and anyone can see your channel's homepage. Your videos may be hidden, however, unless you set them for public viewing. If you created your YouTube account prior to October , your entire channel may be hidden, due to Google's old privacy rules. In this case, you can manually convert it to a public channel. Google allows you to set the privacy setting of each individual video during the upload process. You can set each video to Public, Private or Unlisted. The last two options prevent the video from showing up on your channel, and make it available only to you and others selected by you.
